16 & Pregnant’s Whitney Purvis Hadn’t Spoken To Son In ‘Six Years’ Before Death, Claims Stepmom!

Whitney Purvis hadn’t seen her son for quite some time before his sudden death. At least, that is what his stepmom claimed!

The news dropped earlier this month that Weston Gosa Jr. had passed away unexpectedly. Ever since then the 16 & Pregnant alum has been in a nasty fight with the 16-year-old’s father — her ex-boyfriend Weston Gosa Sr. And it’s gotten messy!

Most recently she claimed she missed the teen’s funeral over the weekend because of her baby daddy! According to Whitney, she received the wrong start time and was axed from the guest list, so she wasn’t allowed inside along with many of her friends and family. However, Weston Sr. called BS. He insisted she was invited to the funeral but showed up late on her own, and it was her fault she arrived after the service started and the doors were locked.

Whitney then accused her ex of neglect, saying he could have prevented Weston Jr.’s death. The teenager, who she said suffered from diabetes, Addison’s disease, and Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, “had no medical insurance” nor the proper medical equipment for his health problems. Whoa.

It’s important to note the exact details of what happened to Weston Jr. are unknown. We only know he died of natural causes. But Whitney thinks his dad should have done more. Or at least wants us to think so. In response, Weston Sr. slammed her again, this time for spreading false narratives, calling her “clueless.”

Oof.

It is so much he-said, she-said. But now a third person is chiming in. Weston Jr.’s stepmother, Amy Gosa, hit back at the allegations from Whitney in an interview with The US Sun on Wednesday, including that the reality star was banned from the funeral! She said:

“We told her the viewing was from 2 to 4 pm, so to get there at 3. And the service was at 4 pm, the doors were locked for the service since it was private. She decided to get there HOURS late at around 4:30, while the service was already going on.”

According to Amy, Whitney was actually allowed to show up earlier, “around 12 or 1,” with her and Weston Sr., but she didn’t bother. The MTV personality’s family members, including her mom and uncle, even arrived on time at 3:00 p.m. Huh.

Amy also says they tried to wait for her — but with everyone else there, they couldn’t hold off the service any longer:

“We prolonged the service as long as we could hoping she’d show up. She never texted or called us telling us she was on her way or she was late. Nothing. She wants to blame us because she wants to act like it’s our fault she chose to come hours late.”

But here is the bombshell — Amy claimed what makes all of this so frustrating is that Whitney hadn’t talked to her late son in SIX YEARS! What?!

“She’s always been like this, she hasn’t even spoken to Lil Wes in six years.”

Whoa! Is it because Whitney chose not to? Or because Weston Sr. kept her away from Weston Jr. and their other son, River, as she claims? Per TMZ, Whitney lost custody of the kids to their dad last year after she was arrested for allegedly failing to make child support payments. However, the mom of two claimed she never lost the right to see her kids. She was supposed to have them “every other weekend,” but Weston Sr. wouldn’t allow it. Whitney claimed she did not have the money to fight the issue, so she never pushed back.

She then accused her ex of engaging in “online bullying, humiliation tactics, [and] trying to control how people perceive me” to not only make “the world hate” her but to hurt her relationship with the kids, too. In addition, Weston Sr. allegedly alienated her from their son and blocked her number so she couldn’t call. Hmm. Did Whitney purposefully ignore her son for so many years? Or was the dad to blame for their estrangement?

Amy maintains everything Whitney has claimed is a lie, though! The bio mom just didn’t make an effort to see her son. The stepmom also spoke of the custody arrangement from her understanding, saying:

“Whitney is allowed supervised visits on the custody agreement, we told her to set up a time at a supervision center, and she didn’t. They eventually tried contacting us to tell her they’ve been trying to contact her but she wouldn’t answer their calls.”

If true, this is so sad…

Ultimately, Amy is just so “upset” Whitney “won’t let us grieve and keeps going to the press doing interviews,” adding:

“It’s painful enough as it is, we lost a piece of our family, our daily life and she just won’t stop. It’s hurtful. We tried our best to have her there, we even got her an urn and she turns around and blames us for her being late to her son’s funeral.”

What’s worse, Whitney hasn’t learned from her mistake; Amy said she hasn’t even checked in on how her other son is doing after losing his brother:

“[Whitney] is not the mom she plays on Facebook.”

It is unfortunate things are so tense between all the parents during such a difficult time. Hopefully, they can stop and work things out, at least for the sake of River.
