India are five down in a 286-run chase. Gaikwad’s ton is a blunt message to BCCI ahead of the Indian ODI squad selection for the South Africa series. Earlier, Delano Potgieter, Dian Forrester and Bjorn Fortuin slammed half-centuries to lift South Africa A to 285/9 against India A in their 1st unofficial ODI in Rajkot. Potgieter (90) and Forrester (77) added 113 runs for the sixth wicket after the visitors were reeling at 5/53, following a top-order collapse. Potgieter then added 93 with Fortuin (59) to take the Proteas to a competitive total. For India A, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana bagged two wickets each.
