Paris hosted a half marathon on Sunday, March 9, with a record 48,000 participants. Runners covered 21 km on a mostly flat course around the most popular attractions in the French capital. Kenyan athlete Kennedy Kimmutai won the race with a time of 1:00:16, although he failed to break the event’s record. He was followed by two of his compatriots, Timothy Kosgei (1:00:22) and Timothy Kibet (1:00:44), making it a hat-trick of Kenyan podium finishes.
