Gaza: Heat and thirst drive families to drink water that makes them sick

In Gaza, it’s not just famine that Palestinians are facing, it is also an acute water crisis. Most of the enclave’s water facilities have been destroyed in the two years of war, and residents are forced to drink water that is brackish and often polluted by sewage and chemicals. In an attempt to ease the crisis, the UAE is building a pipeline that should be complete in the next few weeks. Story by Camille Knight.
