Open letter: With the deaths of journalists in Gaza, press freedom is also being assassinated

“At the rate the Israeli army is killing journalists in the Gaza Strip, there will soon be no one left to inform you.” The editorial committees of more than forty French media outlets, including FRANCE 24 and our sister network RFI, are signing on to the international movement initiated by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), Avaaz and the Committee to Protect Journalists to sound the alarm about the fate of Palestinian journalists – and the notion of press freedom as a whole – currently under assault in the Gaza Strip.
