Portugal declared a day of mourning on Thursday after the yellow Gloria funicular in Lisbon derailed, killing at least 15 people and injuring 18 near one of the city’s busiest tourist spots. Lisbon prosecutors said they were launching an investigation into the accident’s circumstances.
