French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau said Friday he does not expect large-scale protests next week but ordered police to respond firmly to a viral online campaign calling for a protest movement “block everything” ahead of a government confidence vote next week. The campaign’s organisers have suggested a range of actions from blocking train stations to picketing oil refineries.
