Rodrigo Duterte, the former president of the Philippines, was on Friday presented with the charges he is facing at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague over his brutal war on drugs. Duterte, who attended the hearing via videolink, is accused of orchestrating the killing of thousands of people – often without proof — in the years-long crackdown.
