Sofía Vergara’s Sunday night did NOT go how she expected it to!
While much of Hollywood gathered at the Peacock Theater in LA for the 2025 Emmys on Sunday, the Modern Family alum found herself somewhere with a lot less star power… The emergency room! The 53-year-old took to Instagram as TV’s biggest night commenced to inform her followers that she had no choice but to skip the star-studded event after suffering a crazy allergic reaction! The Griselda star told fans:
“Didnt make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER. sorry I had to cancel! Craziest eye allergie [sic] right before getting in the car!”

Her caption was accompanied by a photo and two videos showing just how bad the reaction truly was! In the first photo, her eye is red, watery, and nearly swollen shut as she gazes directly into the camera. The next slide features a video of her laying on a hospital bed, while the third depicts her flushing her eye out at an eye wash station. Scroll through (below):

Sofía was scheduled to present an award at some point during the ceremony, so quick changes had to be made. But there were clearly no hard feelings… In the comments, stars like Terry Crews, Elizabeth Chambers, and Heidi Klum all wished her well.
