How Kelly Clarkson’s Kids Are Handling Father Brandon Blackstock’s Death

Kelly Clarkson and her children are doing the best they can after their father’s death.

As Perezcious readers know, Brandon Blackstock sadly passed away after a private battle with cancer on August 7. He and Kelly shared two young kids, River, 11, and Remy, 9. He was also dad to adult children Savannah, 23, and Seth, 18, with his ex-wife Melissa Ashworth. The loss has been hard for the whole family, but they’re sticking together amid their grief.

Reba McEntire, the late talent manager’s stepmother, opened up with Entertainment Tonight at the Emmys on Sunday. When asked how the family is holding up just over a month after his passing, she shared:

“We miss him. We miss him every minute.”

Reflecting on how his kids are doing during this difficult time, the singer added:

“The kids are doing well, they’re all bonding together and hanging out with each other, and taking it one day at a time. We know God’s got this.”

Oof. Such a tough time for them all. Thank goodness they have each other to lean on.
