Anger mounts over Mayor Imamoglu’s jailing as thousands gather for anti-government rally in Turkey

Tens of thousands people have gathered in Istanbul demonstrating in support ofEkrem Imamoglu, the city’s mayor who was jailed on alleged corruption charges that’s erupted the country’s biggest anti-government rallies in decades. This follows nightly protests largely-led by student groups, though Saturday’s rally is the largest since Tuesday. Vedika Bahl has this story.
