France’s far-right is preparing to rally in support of its leader Marine Le Pen in Paris on Sunday following a stunning court ruling that convicted her of embezzlement and banned her from holding public office, which could end her presidential hopes for 2027. A rival leftist demonstration protesting Le Pen’s ‘Trumpist turn’ was also planned. France24 journalist Antonia Kerrigan reports.
