Daft Punk fans have praised the “absolutely incredible” Fortnite experience which launched over the weekend.
The Daft Punk Experience was announced last week and opened Saturday (September 27), allowing fans access to an immersive world featuring 31 songs from across the French duo’s catalogue. The experience also includes custom outfits, all-night dance parties and opportunities to remix and mashup Daft Punk songs, as well as a virtual concert featuring moments from their celebrated ‘Alive 2007’ live album.
The Daft Punk x Fortnite experience is set to run until November 1 but fans are already praising the collab.
“It was incredible. To experience something so immersive in a video game was truly something else. I was not expecting how well done the visuals of everything would be. From watching the countdown, getting sucked into the pyramid, the trippy intro, then arriving at the concert and playing around the different rooms, And of course the influential discography of Daft Punk. Everything was top notch,” one fan wrote on Reddit.
“Loved it! Daft Punk is probably one of my favourite artists, so it’s nice to see that they put a lot care into this,” said another. “Best live event Fortnite has ever done. Absolutely amazing,” added a third.

Over the past year, Fortnite has shared a number of music collabs as part of rhythm game Fortnite Festival. Gorillaz, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd and Billie Eilish have all headlined the experience but Festival doesn’t currently have a headline act while the Daft Punk experience is live.
Earlier this week, Fortnite announced it was temporarily removing a collab with DC show Peacemaker. The “Nazi”-inspired Peaceful Hips Emote has been banned and players refunded while creators Epic Games investigate the “creative intentions” behind the dance.
In other news, Hades 2 is currently the best-reviewed game of 2025 but according to developers, it might not be getting a sequel.
