Algeria has ordered 12 French embassy officials to leave the country within 48 hours, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said on April 14. The move appears to be a response to the arrest of three Algerians in France suspected of involvement in the kidnapping of exiled influencer and Algerian government opponent Amir Boukhours, also known as “Amir DZ”.
