Mexico’s Sheinbaum sees record approval rating as she celebrates one year in office

With an approval rating of 79% in late August, up from around 70% after she took office, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has not just survived a year of diplomatic wrangling with US President Donald Trump and fighting cartel violence, she is thriving on it.
