Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa took the floor at the UN General Assembly on September 24. Simultaneously, a photo claiming to show Sharaa brandishing two decapitated heads circulated on social media – allegedly proof that he committed war crimes back when he was a jihadist. In reality, the photo shows an Australian jihadist, not Sharaa.
