‘Why did this happen?’: Spain hunts for cause of power outage as electricity returns

Electricity was restored to most of Spain and Portugal early Tuesday after massive blackouts, with authorities investigating the cause of the sudden outage. In Spain, schools and offices reopened, public transport resumed, traffic eased, and many hospitals regained power, while some continued on generators.
