Paris prosecutors announced Tuesday that a Chinese woman was arrested and charged earlier this month for her involvement in the theft of gold nuggets worth more than $1 million from the capital’s Natural History Museum in September. Art theft specialists warn that museum heists have been on the rise in recent years.
