US President Donald Trump has abruptly ended all trade talks with Canada after Ontario’s government aired an advert criticizing his tariffs, quoting Ronald Reagan’s warning that such measures “hurt every American.” Calling the advert “fake” and “egregious,” Trump declared negotiations “terminated.” His administration has imposed a 35% levy on many Canadian imports, with Ontario’s car and steel industries among the hardest hit.
