Argentinians vote in midterm elections seen as key test for Milei

Polls opened Sunday in Argentina for legislative elections that would determine whether President Javier Milei can expand his party’s hold on parliament in the second half of his term. Argentina’s economic troubles abound despite unprecedented US aid, and the election outcome may determine whether Milei’s budget-slashing cuts and attempts to deregulate the economy will survive.
