The former imperial city of Hue found itself flooded after record rainfall in #Vietnam. Nearly two metres of water fell in just 24 hours – a record that had been standing since 1999. Scientists say human-driven #climatechange is making extreme weather events like storms and #floods more deadly and destructive. Vietnam is among the most flood-prone countries worldwide with nearly half its population living in areas of risk.
