Mahmud Abbas, Joseph Aoun back arms under Lebanese state control

Palestenian president Mahmud Abbas is on a 3-day visit to Beirut. This is Abbas’ first visit to Lebanon since 2017. He’s expected to call for the disarmament of refugee camps in the country which host an estimated 250 thousand Palestenians. Last month local authorities announced they were working to withdraw heavy and medium weapons from all Lebanese territory.
