OK, quick rewind! Perezcious readers know Travis Kelce‘s former girlfriend has thrown a bit of shade at Taylor Swift ever since the pair got together in 2023. Most recently, Kayla caused a stir when she dressed up as Toni Braxton for Halloween — but not just any version of Toni! The sports journalist pulled together a look from the singer’s He Wasn’t Man Enough music video and even recreated the choreography while these lyrics played in the background:
“Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend? Do you know he begged to stay with me? He wasn’t man enough for me.”

Everyone immediately clocked it as a clapback toward Tayvis after Opalite. Tay sung about her man moving on from an unsatisfying relationship in the hot The Life of a Showgirl track, something many identified as a diss. Oh, and she ALSO sent Kayla’s nemesis Teyana Taylor a gift! So it’s been a whole thing.
However, the podcast host claims it isn’t Tayvis shade — and isn’t about the couple at all! Instead, she says her look is inspired by an old White friend… oh, who also happens to be named Taylor. How inconvenient for her…

Swifties didn’t buy it, naturally. Some got sick of Kayla seemingly bringing up Taylor and Travis, so what did they do? The fans put their detective hats on, dug around online, and found some dirt on the influencer. What did they find? A whole bunch of alleged tweets from the personality dating back over a decade! Problematic tweets of the racist, homophobic, and so on variety.
The posts included disgusting remarks like “that one obnoxiously loud black girl” and calling someone “you dumb fat Mexican hoe.” There’s a lot more tweets like that. Take a look (below):

Kayla has not addressed the controversy yet. However, she did make a kind of statement — she deleted her X (Twitter) account!
Right beforehand, she reportedly posted a brief message on social media that read simply:
“I’m taking some time to step away.”
