We’re speaking of Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater‘s relationship. Fans have been wondering for some time if these two had cooled off after their hot — and highly controversial — beginnings. They’ve barely been seen together, plus she took a photo with Rosé from BLACKPINK… And last month we heard a report that pretty much told Arianators that all their fears were well-founded.
An insider claimed the relationship had grown “unhealthy” and “more than a little toxic” — leading them to be less solid, more “on and off for most of this year.” Ouch! Well, at least no one gave up their whole family for this love story…
Funny how neither of them has been in a rush to silence the rumors. But Ethan is at least seemingly doing a little shushing… in the form of promo, of course!

In an Instagram post over the weekend, the Broadway star promoted NBC‘s upcoming musical special Wicked: One Wonderful Night. And in his carousel of pics, Ari was far from absent! Not only was one dedicated to Glinda making her grand entrance, one was a backstage moment in which the pair of them — and costar Bowen Yang — seemed to be having fun with a Wicked-themed photo booth.
See? Everything is fine! Don’t look at those relationship problems behind the curtain!
Yes, if Ethan was trying to silence the rumors, he’s unfortunately played right into their hands. See, that insider also said the collapsing couple would keep everything looking like rainbows and butterflies to the outside world… long enough for Wicked: For Good to become another hit anyway! They really made it sound like the priority was the box office for this one, as both of their careers are riding on it… and neither wants to rock that gravy boat right now!
So yeah, promo for the movie isn’t really going to cut it when that’s all we’ve heard they have left. Proving you’re still both being pros out here? We believe that part… not so sure about the romance.
