Fans of KPop Demon Hunters are not happy with the price of the new toy dolls.

Pre-orders for Mattel Creations’ KPop Demon Hunters dolls begin tomorrow (November 12) and the trio retail at $150 (£114), with no option to buy the toys individually.

The dolls are also not expected to arrive until October 2026 according to Mattel.

Many fans were unhappy with the price tag with one fan writing on Reddit: “These are not worth $50 each. They don’t even have real chains or depicted with electroplated plastic. Not surprised and disappointed that this amazing IP went to the second worst quality doll producers.”

Another added: “The price is too high for the quality of the dolls AND they will not ship until October 2026,” while a third fan said: “They look amazing, but that price admittedly hurts.”

One user also wrote: “I was excited until I saw they were 50 each. THEY DO NOT look like 50 dollar dolls.”

It was a similar story on X with one fan writing: “Wait a second…@Mattel $150 for #KpopDemomHunters dolls. And they won’t even ship until October 2026?! Are you INSANE!?”

Another added: “Mattel’s KPOP DEMON HUNTERS dolls aren’t cheap.”

Mattel is also planning to develop a range of KPop Demon Hunters action figures, accessories, collectibles, playsets and collaborations with co-brands, with distribution worldwide.

Hasbro are also working on a collection of products which will span such categories as special-feature plushies, youth electronics and role play, according to Variety.

Meanwhile, a sequel to Netflix‘s hit animated film has reportedly been confirmed and is slated for release sometime in 2029.

Plans for an animated sequel were being discussed as early as August 28, just days after the original film’s release.

The movie tells the story of a group of internationally renowned singers who lead a double life as demon hunters. It swiftly became a global phenomenon, becoming the most-watched film in Netflix history, and its success was bolstered by sing-along screenings held in cinemas, reportedly grossing around $20million (£14.9million) in a single weekend.
