Anti-crime protests in Mexico City injure 120 people, most of them police

A few thousand people marched in Mexico City Saturday to protest crime and corruption following the fatal shooting of popular Michoacan Mayor Carlos Manzo. While initially set in motion by self-styled “Gen Z” influencers, the protest – in which some 120 people were injured, most of them police officers – has since received strong backing from older supporters of the country’s opposition parties.
