‘Pipo’ Chavarria, the leader of Ecuador’s biggest drug-trafficking gang, has been captured, Ecuador’s President Daniel Noboa announced Sunday. Chavarria had “faked his death, changed his identity and hid in Europe”, the president said, without specifying where the drug lord had been captured.
