Justin Bieber‘s massive ego has been wounded by his wife’s success! At least, that’s what one source is saying…
In case you didn’t hear, Hailey Bieber made a MONUMENTAL deal with e.l.f. Beauty — selling her company Rhode Beauty for a billion dollars. All that and she gets to retain creative control over the company! Huge!
But is Justin proud and excited like he should be? Or something else?
An insider told The US Sun on Wednesday that the business move is just creating more problems in the already rocky marriage. Ever since the Rhode contract was signed, a well-placed source said, tension has been at “an all-time high” for the pair.
Since Justin is “obsessed with being the dominant figure in their relationship” he’s feeling a bit “jealous” of his lady suddenly being the breadwinner:
“It feels like a blow to his ego. Justin is becoming incredibly selfish, and that deal has deeply upset him. He cannot stand the idea of being the ‘number two’ in their relationship now.”
The insider alleged JB is “behaving like a spoiled teenager” and is downright refusing to celebrate Hailey’s success:
“It’s disappointing to see him act like this.”
Seriously… A spouse is supposed to be your number one supporter! You’re not in competition! But the insider says the couple’s pals all think the pop star couldn’t handle coming in second place to his wifey, “regardless of what Hailey achieves”. Oof.

A second insider, a fashion consultant for the Biebers, said Justin’s jealousy stems from never getting a deal like that himself for his own brands:
“Justin has been dreaming of similar deals for years but has not achieved them. He resents that she is a better businessperson than he is, and her success makes him feel inadequate as a businessman.”
Could this be why he recently disassociated himself from Drew House to focus on SKYLRK?? Still, what a s**tty way to think! He should be happy for Hailey!
A business insider close to Justin and Hailey claimed the Rhode founder isn’t worried about who’s the center of attention in their relationship! And it’s just “disappointing” for her to see Justin act like this:
“She wanted him to show her love, support, and pride, but instead, she has faced coldness and jealousy. He has withdrawn and is behaving like a sulky child who has been reprimanded, shutting down and acting foolishly for days. This kind of behavior is not what you would expect from a married man or a father.”
In fact, this just might be the FINAL straw, they say:
“He is acting like a selfish teenager, and if he does not change, Hailey might become fed up and make the best decision for herself.”
Ugh… This report paired with how he’s been talking about Hailey in his posts recently just really leaves an icky taste in the mouth, right?
We can’t imagine how upsetting this is for Hailey to deal with, especially considering now that they’re parents to little Jack Blues… If it’s true, of course.
