According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health reported his death was caused by cardiac arrest. Congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, and hypertension were listed as underlying causes. End-stage renal disease (AKA kidney failure) and hyperlipidemia, relating to high cholesterol, were also contributing factors. So sad.
The docs also noted George was cremated on May 28, just eight days after his passing. He will be deeply missed.
