There are people who are scared of horror movies, people who are really scared of horror movies, and then there’s Candace Cameron Bure.
You’d think for someone who literally grew up in the TV and film industry, she’d know that horror movies are, you know, just movies. Not real! But her faith has really changed how she sees things. Despite knowing the ins and outs of the way flicks are made, the Fuller House alum just… believes they’re evil. Or they house evil. We’ll let her explain!

In the latest episode of The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast, she laid it out straight — horror movies are NOT WELCOME in her world!
The 49-year-old said:
“Like if you’re watching this, or you’re playing this video game, or whatever, that’s a portal that could let stuff inside our home. I don’t even want someone watching a scary movie in our house on the TV, because to me, that’s just a portal.”
Oof. Sounds like she took The Ring a little too seriously! Does she think Samara is going to crawl through her TV? LOLz! Candace added:
“Listen, I’m in the film industry. I understand how it all works. I know that movie has a crew of 200 people, and they’re lighting it, and they’re adding the sound effects, and it’s makeup, and the camera, people, and actors. However, there’s still something that can be incredibly demonic while they’ve made it.”
What exactly is this demonic “portal” she’s talking about, though? The Hallmark star said she believes it’s a direct line to hell:
“I feel like it’s a portal that gets opened up and let in.”
Don’t get her started on the popular canned water brand Liquid Death, either. She’s in full belief that stuff is “literally being cursed as it’s going out into distribution.” Watch the full clip (below):

Wow, definitely an inneresting take… but are we really surprised? The openly conservative woman has a lot of ridiculous phobias.
