The IAEA and Romania will launch tomorrow, 24 June, the world’s largest and most complex international nuclear emergency exercise, simulating a severe accident at Romania’s Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. Such exercises are held every three to five years and are based on simulated events hosted by IAEA Member States.
