Scott Wolf just took a very unsettling step in his ongoing divorce from estranged wife Kelley.
According to a new report in Us Weekly on Wednesday, the Party of Five alum filed for a temporary restraining order against his estranged spouse a day earlier in their home state of Utah.
It’s not entirely clear what led to the TRO being filed against Kelley. Declarations on the matter were submitted by both Scott and a man named Michael Wolf, which the outlet reports is the name of the actor’s brother — though it’s not technically clear whether that’s the same person. See, the restraining order documents from Tuesday are sealed, so there’s no immediate insight into that or the other details contained within the filing.

That said, a source close to Kelley is speaking out about it — somewhat. The insider told the mag about the 48-year-old mom’s reaction to the restraining order:
“It is not warranted, it’s cruel. And it’s incorrect.”
The estranged couple shares three children together — sons Jackson, 16, and Miller, 12, and daughter Lucy, 11. And to hear the insider tell it, those kids are now Kelley’s full focus:
“It’s so sad for the kids, but Kelley is ready to fight like hell for her children.”
Wow.
Of course, we first reported a few weeks back that Scott had filed for divorce from Kelley. The pair had been married for 21 years before the actor announced their split.
In the days after the reveal, things got messy fast. Kelley was detained by sheriff’s deputies in Summit County, Utah and taken to a local hospital after making “concerning” comments during an Instagram Live video.
Not long before that incident, she’d apparently called police from the former couple’s home with claims of domestic abuse and assertions that she didn’t feel safe there. Per an incident report on that call, the unidentified caller reported feeling unsafe around her brother-in-law amid her ongoing divorce battle with her unnamed husband. However, much of that incident report was redacted — they wouldn’t even confirm it was her — and so it’s not clear whether Michael was the brother-in-law referenced.
Whatever the case, we know Scott previously hinted at his family having “been through some stuff” just months before the divorce was revealed to the public.
Now, it would seem as though this restraining order only just adds to the level of complication and difficulty here for all involved.
