For the first time in more than 100 years, Parisians and visitors will be able to swim legally in the Seine, as three designated swimming areas open on Saturday. Following a €1.4 billion cleanup effort ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics, the once-polluted river is now meeting European water quality standards.
