Kenya’s Julius Yego is in second spot, while former Sri Lankan U16 fast bowler Rumesh Pathirage is third. The first international javelin event held in India, it is named after two-time Olympic medalist and one of India’s modern sporting icons, Neeraj Chopra. Neeraj is among five Indians featuring in the 12-man field, which also includes 2016 Olympic gold medalist Thomas Rohler and 2016 Olympic silver medalist Julius Yego. Four other Indians — Sachin Yadav, Sahil Silwal, Rohit Yadav and Yashvir Singh — are taking part.
