It’s pretty disappointing to see a TV show — especially a reboot — turn into a complete mess. It doesn’t just show disrespect to the audience, it hurts the legacy of the beloved show. Sex and the City had its critics — but the writers never did anything this ridiculous!
A new TikTok video has been going viral after Thursday’s episode, totally shocking fans with the messy timeline. The first clip in the video shows Nicole Ari Parker‘s character Lisa on the phone, telling Kristin Davis‘ character Charlotte that her father died:
“My father died this afternoon. He had a stroke out of nowhere.”
Such a sad new storyline, right? The problem? Lisa’s father already died! She revealed the loss in Season 1!
The TikTok then shows a clip from the first season of the series, where Lisa can be seen telling Charlotte:
“I was the exact same way when I lost my dad last year. I could see my rings literally shaking on my hands while I was trying to be so strong.”
