• Apple AirPods Pro 2: $149 (was $249). Apple’s best earbuds are on sale right on a record low price. They come with noise cancellation, USB-C charging, conversation awareness, and a speaker to find them easily if you misplace them.

• Beats Studio Buds+: $89.95 at Amazon (was $169.95). The Studio Buds+ offer a total of 36 hours of battery life, ANC, great microphone quality for calls, and nice features for Android users—that’s all according to PCMag’s “excellent” review.

• Google Pixel Buds Pro 2: $160.54 (originally $229). These earbuds are excellent, according to CNET’s review, especially if you live in the Android ecosystem. • Beats Powerbeats Pro 2: $179.95 (originally $249.99). These new workout earbuds, which came out in February, compete against the AirPods Pro 2, since they’re normally the same price. For those who waited patiently for the new version (and now for a good discount), they’ll be rewarded with great workout earbuds, according to Beth Skwarecki’s review, for a good discount.

• Bose Ultra Open Bluetooth Earbuds: $199 (originally $299). Open-ear design earbuds have been getting popular, likely because active noise-canceling tech has gotten so good that people have forgotten what nature sounds like. The Ultra Open Earbuds are Bose’s attempt at the trending tech, and they’re decent. But at their price, they’re a great option for those looking for an open-ear option. Check out CNET’s review.

• Apple AirPods Max: $429.99 at Amazon (was $549). Apple’s full over-ear headphones are expensive—there’s no getting around that. But these are great for people who want AirPods-level noise cancellation, premium sound, and automatic source switching but hate sticking silicone in their ear holes. • Sony WH-1000XM6: $428 (originally $449). I was fortunate enough to get my hands on these headphones, which I called the best headphones of 2025 in my review. Although the discount isn’t great, any discount on these recently released headphones is a blessing. They’re worth every penny. If it’s too many pennies for you, the WH-1000XM5 are $298, a great cheaper option.

• Sonos Ace: $299 (originally $449). You’ve probably heard of Sonos smart speakers and soundbars, which offer some of the best audio quality on the market. What you may not know, however, is that Sonos also makes the excellent Sonos Ace headphones, which were released last summer. • Bose QuietComfort Headphones: $199 (originally $349). These headphones can connect to multiple devices at once, so you can seamlessly transition from one device to the next. They also offer a transparency mode that lets you hear your surroundings while wearing them, a customizable EQ so you can listen to your music how you like it to sound, and an impressive 24 hours of battery life, according to PCMag’s “excellent” review. • Beats Solo 4: $97.99 (originally $199.95). If you prefer on-ear headphones, the Beats Solo 4 are just $97.99 (originally $199.95), a record low price. These headphones are the fourth generation of the Beats Solo series and have improvements on sound quality, voice-calling performance, feature set, and battery life, according to CNET’s review.

• Walmart’s Prime Day competition sale begins at midnight on July 8 and will include deals up to 50% off. It’s an especially good option if you have Walmart+. 

• Best Buy’s Prime Day competition sale, “Black Friday in July,” runs through Sunday, July 13 and has some of the best tech sales online. It’s an especially good option if you’re a My Best Buy “Plus” or “Total” member.
