Angelina Jolie reportedly thinks Brad Pitt is trying to bankrupt her! This seemingly endless and increasingly bitter court battle over a French winery? All just trying to hit her where it hurts.
No doubt you’ve been following this saga along with us. Back in 2021, Jolie sold her stake in Chateau Miraval for a cool $67 million to a Russian billionaire named Yuri Shefler. There was just one little problem with that: Brad claimed the sale was made without his consent, and ever since he’s been pushing to get a court to reverse it.
Well, now we’re hearing the Maleficent star’s perspective… and if this report is to be believed, it’s freakin’ brutal.

A source told Radar Online Angie thinks her ex is trying to bankrupt her in the long legal tussle. The insider alleges Angelina said this to them directly about Brad’s relentless pursuit of the winery fracas:
“He’s trying to drain me. The time, the energy, the money — it’s all meant to wear me down.”
Whoa.
She reportedly also said this to the source about how much of a toll it’s taking on her personal wellness:
“It’s the last thing I need right now. I’m tired, stressed, and emotionally exhausted.”
Damn…
There are apparently some bigger-picture ramifications here, too.
The insider claims that legal bills linked to the winery are getting so expensive that they are impacting Angie’s ability to take care of the ex-couple’s six kids — Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and twins Vivienne and Knox, who turn 17 on Saturday.
Because of that, the source said the kids are “very aware” of the legal battle and how it’s playing out for their mother:
“The kids are very aware of what’s going on. They’re watching this, and it’s pushing them further away from Brad. They see it as an attack on their mother, and they’re siding with her.”
Yikes. After all, we already know how tenuous Brad’s relationship would seem to be with his kids. So, this definitely can’t be great in that context.

But from Pitt’s POV, Chateau Miraval is bigger than all that. The insider claims the Moneyball star sees it as a “symbol of his legacy.” Oookay. Not the great movies he’s made? Or his kids? Some winery only super rich people care about? Really? Anyway, they say that’s why he won’t go down without a fight:
“He sees this as protecting something deeply personal. Chateau Miraval is a symbol of his legacy. He won’t hand it over without a fight.”
And it sounds like Angelina won’t pull up her stake and quit on this duel, either. The source concluded:
“She’s said she’ll fight this to the bitter end if she has to. But there’s no doubt — it’s taking a toll.”
Jeez. Are we about to see another near-decade of courtroom contention between these two? It certainly would be enough to bankrupt most people! Billable hours for all these lawyers can really add up, after all…
