Preparations for the funeral of Nigeria’s former president Muhammadu Buhari, which is set to take place on Tuesday, are underway in his hometown. Dura and the rest of Nigeria are in mourning following Buhari’s death on Sunday at the age of 82 after a “prolonged illness”. He had twice led Nigeria: once in the 1980s as a military leader, and again in 2015 as a democratically elected president. He leaves behind a mixed legacy.
