Israel on Wednesday launched a series of powerful air strikes against the Syrian military and defence ministry headquarters in Damascus as well as a “military target” near the presidential palace after warning the government against targeting the Druze community. The strikes have killed one person and wounded 18 more, according to the Syrian health ministry.
