We’re learning more about the sudden death of Ozzy Osbourne.
The heavy metal icon passed away at 76 years old on Tuesday after a years-long battle with Parkinson’s disease. The news came as a shock to celebrities and fans. Ozzy’s death was also “unexpected” to his own family, though they were by his side during his final days at his Buckinghamshire mansion. They all reportedly hoped the singer “would be able to carry on for a bit longer” after his final performance with Black Sabbath earlier this month. Sadly, it didn’t happen.

Not much is known about his passing yet, including his exact cause of death. However, more details about his last hours are now starting to come out. According to Dailymail.com on Wednesday, an air ambulance was called to Welders House, Ozzy’s home, on Tuesday morning because his life was hanging in the balance. The Thames Valley air ambulance arrived at around 10:30 a.m., landing in a field close to the former reality star’s mansion. When medics reached Ozzy, they worked extremely hard — spending around two hours trying to save his life. Obviously we know their efforts were unfortunately unsuccessful. Ozzy passed in the home, “surrounded by love” and family, as his family said.

The air ambulance was seen taking off again at around 12:30 p.m. A spokesperson for Thames Valley Air Ambulance told Dailymail.com:
“We can confirm that our helicopter was dispatched to provide advanced critical care at an incident near Chalfont St Giles yesterday.”
Residents also confirmed they saw a chopper land near Ozzy’s home. One local named Jane said she “realised something serious was happening” when she spotted the air ambulance “landing close to Welders” while out on a walk. Another resident added:
“I went out to have a look and saw that it was landing close to Ozzy’s house. All of us were talking about it and wondering what had happened. We immediately feared it may be for him as he was known to be in fragile health. When we heard later that night that he had died it confirmed our worst fears.”
Sources did not share with the outlet exactly what happened to Ozzy… That part is still a mystery at this time.
We can’t imagine how hard all this was for the Osbournes. Our thoughts continue to be with them during this difficult time.
