“Only Human,” released on Gateway Records, captures its No. 1 rank through a 9% jump in plays for the tracking week compared with the previous week’s total. Thanks to the improvement, it snags the Greatest Gainer honor, awarded to the song with the week’s largest increase in plays. The new champ swaps places with Kevin Ross’ “Love in the Middle,” which surrenders the summit after three weeks on top.

Despite its new No. 1 status, “Only Human” traces back more than three decades. Sentury’s single is a cover of R&B hitmaker Jeffrey Osborne’s 1990 track — although the original predated the Adult R&B Airplay chart, which launched in 1993, it reached No. 3 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in 1991, while its parent album of the same name peaked at No. 9 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums that year.

Further, Sentury — comprised of members CJ, Leo, AJ and Rico — is the first multi-member male act to rule Adult R&B Airplay since Silk Sonic, the duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, scored five No. 1s in 2021-22. Among male acts with three or more members, the quartet is the first credited group to lead since The Isley Brothers on “Make Me Say It Again Girl,” with Ronald Isley and Beyoncé, in October 2022.

Elsewhere, “Only Human” races 27-21 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, which ranks songs by combined audience totals from adult R&B and mainstream R&B/hip-hop radio stations. There, it improved to 4.3 million in weekly audience, up 14% from the prior week.
