After 12 days of war with Iran, what gains for Israel?

For eight months, Israel had been planning its operations against Iran – conducting clandestine operations, with the goal of eliminating Iran’s nuclear abilities. The full-scale attacks 12 days ago were the start of a new war – albeit a potentially short one – that further jeapordised stability in the Middle East and quashed diplomatic negotiations to pursue a nuclear deal. But for Israel there have been a number of military gains. Eliza Herbert takes a look.
