A group of international activists, including Sweden’s Greta Thunburg, attempted to reach Gaza by boat this week to deliver humanitarian supplies on a vessel named the Madleen before being stopped, rerouted, and then deported by Israeli authorities. FRANCE 24 spoke to Madleen Kullab, the aid boat’s namesake, and the only fisherwoman in Gaza.
