Alabama Barker is opening up about her battle with health anxiety.
Travis Barker’s daughter got vulnerable in a recent TikTok revealing an assortment of symptoms she suffers from as the result of health anxiety, which occurs when “you spend so much time worrying you’re ill, or going to get ill, that it starts to take over your life,” according to the National Health Service. The 19-year-old shared a video featuring several photos and videos of herself in various hospital rooms hooked up to pulse oximeters and getting blood drawn. She set the clip to audio from a Josie Balka poem discussing anxiety and how crippling it can be. In her caption, Alabama wrote:
“I’ve been struggling with severe health anxiety, and it’s something I don’t talk about enough. It’s more than just worrying it’s a constant fight with my own mind. Some days it feels like I’m sinking, stuck in a fight-or-flight state I can’t escape.”
Poor girl! That sounds awful! She continued:
“My symptoms are real and scary: dizziness, head pressure, eye floaters, light sensitivity, derealization, and extreme fatigue. I have low iron, I can’t drive, I avoid cars, and I miss out on normal things people don’t even think twice about. Even when doctors say I’m okay, I don’t feel okay.”

How debilitating! The Cry Bhabie rapper finished off:
“I’m sharing this because health anxiety is invisible but very real and no one should feel alone in it, this is something I felt was important to share we are all in this together!”
