Uh oh! Rumor has it that Todd and Julie Chrisley are divorcing!
According to RadarOnline on Monday, speculation began after the couple discussed “gray divorce” on their Chrisley Confessions 2.0 podcast last week. Julie apparently told Todd about the term out of the blue one day, and they brought it up in the episode. She explained:
“Basically, a gray divorce is divorcing over the age of 50 and after you’ve been married for a long time. In general, they said divorce rates have gone down… but, since 1990, divorces for people over the age of 50 have doubled. And tripled for people over 65.”

Wow. Todd couldn’t believe it, saying:
“Why are you divorcing at 65? You’ve lived with this crusty old f**k for I don’t know how long. And now you’re gonna do it at 65. No. If it’s that bad, I’m gonna stay and torture you till the end.”
Julie continued, dropping more statistics like, “In 1990, 8 percent of divorces were with people over 50,” and “Today, 40 percent are with people over 50.” She attributed it to people living longer, and some 50-year-olds realizing they’ve got “another 30 years” ahead of them and don’t want to waste that time being unhappy with someone else:
“I guess people just are wanting to be happy. They’ve realized that, okay, we’ve raised kids. We’ve done all this stuff. And a lot of them realize they have nothing in common.”
Todd insisted to listeners he and Julie weren’t heading down that path, though. He said he is “not breaking and training” anybody else, adding:
“I don’t have the time left.”
That explanation has not eased some folks’ worries, though! Because why would Julie, all of a sudden, research and mention a “gray divorce”… unless she was thinking about getting one! It is suspicious, no? Fans are certainly concerned now! And would you be surprised if Todd and Julie split?
The reality stars have had a tough couple of years, as they went to prison for tax and bank fraud for only 28 months. That alone is bound to break a marriage. Yet, they got through it together. But post-prison is a different story. Adjusting to life on the outside is tough for anyone, even for the Chrisleys. And Todd hasn’t made it easy with the horrible way he keeps talking about his own wife. Oof. Are they struggling to reconnect now Did Julie have enough of how he has treated her? Or is there nothing to the rumors? An insider spilled to RadarOnline what is really going on with the pair!
Despite the rumors, the source insisted that “Todd and Julie Chrisley are absolutely not divorcing.” Phew. They explained the television personalities “were discussing the concept of a gray divorce, and that’s it.” We guess the topic was really interesting to them…
The insider went on to say that people “love to speculate” on Todd and Julie’s marriage and have “spread so many false rumors about them through the years.” But the reality is, according to the source, they are “stronger than ever” before:
“After surviving prison, they are stronger than ever as a familial married unit. Being in the public eye, there will always, unfortunately, have to deal with nonsensical fodder but, what matters is they know who they are at their core and they’re secure.”
Hmm. The insider also stressed the Chrisley family remains unbothered by all the rumors, saying they never have and “never will” care about them:
“Period. End of story.”
