Argentine police recover Nazi-looted Italian painting spotted in property ad

Argentine police have recovered an 18th century painting stolen from a Jewish art dealer by the Nazis during World War II just over a week after it appeared in a property ad. Prosecutors said Wednesday that “Portrait of a Lady”, which was photographed hanging in the home of the daughter of a senior SS officer, had been returned by the woman’s lawyer.
