At least 34 Palestinians killed in new shootings near Gaza food distribution centres

At least 34 Palestinians were killed trying to reach food distribution centres operated by the Israeli- and US-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation on Monday, the Gaza health ministry said. Witnesses reported that Israeli soldiers opened fire in a bid to control crowds.The toll is the deadliest yet of the near-daily shootings that have taken place since the private contractor opened the centres three weeks ago.
