Whoa! Bella Thorne just dropped a seriously gross accusation against Charlie Puth!
This drama goes WAY back, Perezcious readers, so strap in for a wild blast to the past. In case you’re not familiar, Bella was dating Teen Wolf‘s Tyler Posey back in 2016 when she was caught hanging out with Charlie. This blew up — way out of proportion, if you ask her — and became a huge scandal. Social media was set ablaze and everyone started coming for the Disney Channel diva, saying she was a cheater and a liar. It was brutal for a 19-year-old to go through. Especially when everyone had it wrong!
See, Bella later revealed it wasn’t even like that with the We Don’t Talk Anymore hitmaker. In a 2016 episode of The Jenny McCarthy Show, she said:
“Basically, Ty and I stopped dating and Charlie had been tweeting about me for a while. He was trying to reach out to me. I hung out with him twice. We went to the movies. He was cool.”
The damage was done, though… Bella’s reputation was that of a cheater — and after Charlie’s smash hit Attention hit airwaves, things did NOT get better.

Many thought Attention was written about Selena Gomez (a completely different, but equally as wild of a situation), but in 2017 the popular belief among fans was it was written about Bella. The lyrics fans were hung up on, in particular, were:
“I know that dress is karma, perfume regret / You got me thinking ’bout when you were mine, oh / And now I’m all up on ya, what you expect? / But you’re not coming home with me tonight / You just want attention, you don’t want my heart”
Messy to say the least… But Bella is done being quiet about the real issue she had with Charlie!
Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix recently dissed the Light Switch singer herself, saying she would never collaborate with Charlie — and hinting her fans knew exactly why. In fact, Mixers themselves say the last tour the girl group did featured a merch tee with all of their songs written on it… except for their collab with Charlie! So her beef with him runs deep.
Jade acts like he doesn’t exist at all, and Bella made clear she understands why. Underneath an Instagram post talking about the former girl group singer’s statement, the Shake It Up alum commented on Friday:
“Yeah I mean.. he lied to the entire world about me and started a hate train. All because I wouldn’t …. do the deed with him.”

So was Attention really about her?? We mean, that song did start one hell of a “hate train” back in 2017. Was he doing the pop star version of spreading rumors about her because she wouldn’t have sex with him?! The ultimate s**tty high school boy move?! Awful if true.
Maybe Charlie Puth shouldn’t be a bigger artist…
