Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are enjoying a lengthy, BUSY engagement.
The music producer, who proposed to Selena in December of last year, stopped by the Therapuss podcast on Wednesday, where host Jake Shane asked the question that’s been on every fan’s mind: after seven months of engagement, are he and the pop star wedding planning yet?? Well, not quite! But there’s good reason! Benny dished:
“Not yet, that’s why we both need to chill. We’ve both been working so much. We got engaged and then we were filming music videos for our album, then it’s holidays, then right after the holidays we had to start all the promo for our stuff, do that.”

But their busy schedules didn’t end there… The 37-year-old continued:
“Then she left to film her show Only Murders [in the Building], and then I met her, then we hung out for a week, and then right after that it’s promo. Then I’m writing another book so then I had to write a book, and then she came back for one day here, and then it was my birthday, and then…”
The list just goes on and on! So all this is to say they’re booked and busy! But they do have plans to sit down and dive into the depths of wedding planning sometime SOON:
“We’re both working on so many things that we haven’t even had time to get into it. But we’re so excited. I think this summer we’re going to sit down and be like, ‘Okay, what are we doing?’”
Yay!
Benny agreed with Shane that the wedding is “going to be lit” but also “chill.” We can’t wait! Hear him talk about it more (below):
