Trace Cyrus is not ready to forgive his father, even if his siblings are. And this could cause World War III for the family!
It’s no secret the Cyrus fam has been going through it ever since parents Billy Ray and Tish divorced. Tish eventually moved on with Dominic Purcell, and it became clear not all her kids were on board with that romance — her youngest daughter, Noah, who was dating the actor first, wasn’t even invited to the wedding!

After the patriarch gave a concerning performance at Trump‘s inauguration, Trace came out of the woodwork and begged his father to seek help for his problematic behavior. The Achy Breaky Heart crooner hit back hard — and was reportedly even going to take legal action against his adopted son! But that didn’t stop the younger musician from continuing to put him on blast! Trace even called him “delusional” and “evil”! At the time, he hinted that a big reason for their divide was Billy Ray’s parenting, declaring that when he has kids, he will “raise them the right way and be part of their life no matter what the circumstances are.”
It seems things haven’t moved much in the father-son peace talks. While Billy Ray has patched things up with Noah and Miley lately, he’s got a LOOOONG way to go to heal things with Trace, if that’s even possible. Now, the Old Town Road artist’s main concern is what Brenda Song‘s ex might do out of spite!
According to RadarOnline.com on Wednesday, Trace is nowhere near forgiveness. In fact, he’s furious his siblings have all caved and given Billy Ray another chance, an insider dished:
“Trace isn’t done by a long shot. He wants his dad to suffer and feels angry that he’s gotten a pass from the rest of the family after all the pain he’s caused.”
But even Tish isn’t holding a grudge against the country star, and she’s urging her son to give it a rest:
“They’re all telling Trace to let it go and saying no good can come out of going after him publicly.”
But nothing has been able to stop Trace so far, the source detailed:
“But he’s like a dog with a bone. He considers his father pure scum, and this is his way of getting closure. He’s asking the others to back him and threatening to raise merry hell if they don’t.”
Jeez.
WTF happened between these two?! They clearly have a lot to work through!
Meanwhile, all Billy Ray wants right now is peace, especially as he dives deeper into his romance with Elizabeth Hurley. While he’s “wracked with guilt” over causing this messy family dynamic, he’s “terrified” the Metro Station rocker will ruin the hard work he’s done to mend things with his other children recently. The source explained:
“For Billy Ray this is a true nightmare. He’s got this dream romance and cleared the other obstacles for a shot at family peace. … But Trace isn’t letting him off the hook and it’s really affecting him. He’s secretly terrified this will tear the family apart all over again.”
We’re already starting to see signs that trouble could be brewing again within the family… Oof. Trace really has a lot of pent-up emotions! Seems like the men need to hash some things out in private!
